5. Once the card is added. You can do payments within a limit (about $500). If you want to remove the limit, you need to verify your card. That's simple. Just click get verified (or something like that) and follow the steps. At the middle of doing this, your card will be charged a little verification amount which will be refunded. Now paypal asks you for a code printed on your bank account's statement along with the details of the verification transaction that has been made at the previous stage. Don't worry! you don't need to get a bank statement for this. Just call bank's card centre and ask them, then they will tell you the code. I was first going to get a commercial, but now as many say hnb is better I'm gonna get a hnb card. HNB had been better in past as I read from other sources also. There had been some quite differences between these two in the past, but looks like they both have come to a mutual point now.
When online payments are activated by bank, can't we pay online for abroad companies by just HNB debit card itself without adding paypal to it?
No, you can. almost at every place where VISA card is accepted but I recommend using paypal as paypal is a trusted company and credit/debit card details are hidden from the other party (money receiver). Do not enter your credit/debit card details on any website that you can't trust.

Machan I went to HNB, but they said it takes about one week for activation of online payments. So I had to get one from Commercial as my case is urgent. When I fill the form I got to know Commercial charges are higher than HNB, for ex. for internet banking 1000 a year, sms message service another mobile banking or something 250 each. In HNB, I think its 500 for internet banking. SMS message service is also free in HNB.
Anyway now I have a commercial card and I activated it by using an ATM. I have to activate it for online payments now. When I call them and asking online payments, should I have to say debit card number to them or just bank account number? Is it safe to say debit card number to call service?
