Go for the E5200. I personally don't think the 1MB more cache and slightly higher FSB is worth it.

Besides, you get a 12.5 multi if you go with E5200. I'd say E5200 is the best mid-range dual core in SL.

Btw, they're AWESOME overclockers. You can get to 3.33 GHz by just increasing the FSB, no voltage increases needed either :)!

Machan one more thing, since you're getting a G31 Foxconn board, you can get the E5200 to 3.7GHz easily. Mine's running at 3.7 GHz atm on my G31 board.

You planning on gaming with your PC? Then I'd recommend going for a cheaper CPU and going for atleast a 8600GT.

Btw, if you give us a budget, we could give you the best system for that budget.

Cool mate.. and what should i go for
    E7200 or E5200
    ?.
Well.. the E7200's SSE4.1 will give you an edge over the E5200 in Video encoding like stuff, It may come in to play in image/3D rendering too ( AFAIK still not). If you don't care much about overclocking go with the E7200
That doesn't mean that the E7200 cannot be overclocked.. :D

    Machan, what about this setup:

    Foxconn G31MX-K 2.0
    Intel E5200
    STLab 8600GT 512MB
    2GB DDR2 800 KVR

    Total ~25,800 at Barclays.
