go for a compaq/HP/dell/Viewsonic 17 flat , Black A grade monitors, they are the best....u can find for a good price.....

Usually the bad fly.But try deguassing it.THen try cleaning the inner parts.Sometimes with many dust,system board tends to have electric leakages.But be aware of those condensors inside.They can knock you out

This warning is like those 30 pages of warnings in a Lenovo/IBM service manual. Just dont touch the two large condensors or ground them before you start.Grounding is the best choice.
And dont worry I have been electricuted 13 times.Im still typing.Even knocked out for 2 hours till my mom came home (Forgot that the multi plug is a chinese one ).
