hey guys i'm getting a new pc i already told ma bro to bring me a

1.AMD athlon 64 x2 4200+ prossesor
2.Mother board which supports above possessor(cheapest one that he could find)

i was a intel pc user but ma last intel machine was busted due to ma overcocking
and i can't buy a hight end pc until ma A/l finishes(2009)

so ma problem is this i never used a AMD machine before and i want some info about this possessor and AMD motherboards.i went through some sites like tomsharware and etc and the performance is impressive for the price.but i want to know about readability and stuff,is it good for over clocking,from the users of amd 64 x2

2.4ghz pentium 4 possessor over clocked to 3.0ghz
nvidia 6200 256 mb vga
1.5gb ram

i'm gonna buy thse parts for ma pc
amd pc

Turion 64 is a mobile chip. They don't support overclocking (the CPU might, but the mobos don't)

Don't go with a single RAM card. And don't go with 667MHz if you want performance from an Athlon. You need to put the fastest RAM and two cards to get the performance you expect from DDR2. Otherwise, DDR will perform WAY better.

Also, using Command Rate 1T RAMs give a huge performance boost on Athlon.

8600GT is OK, but if you are buying them from outside Sri Lanka, buy a 9600GT. They only cost about USD150-170, and the best value for money these days. That will give you a lot of life out of your PC. 8600GT is a joke.

Nuts! THE CPU has nothing do with graphics quality. Only the monitor and graphics card plays a role here. EVERYTHING IS IN YOUR HEAD!
