Initial Overclocking

System

Ealier with my P5K SE board I could only go as high as 470~ FSB, Initial tests on this this board gave 485FSB @ 1.3v.. here's the CPU-Z, in the CPU-Z my voltage shows as 1.2V, seems like there's a definite case of Vdroop here...

3DMark results after VGA and System overclocking.. [FYI, all at stock (including the system) gave me 9655 3DMarks]

Few Gaming Benchmarks and Sreenshots

3870 could muster 60~ FPS @ high settings (1280 x1024) with that exception of Crysis :-)baffled:) which was set to the highest settings possible @ 2XAA!

8800GT is a very good card, real value for money.. but "true" SLI boards costs a lot too!!!

Anyway.. I'm hoping the 3870 would go down with the arrival of 4870 next month, then most probably I'll grab another for a lot cheaper than 8800GT by that time... Actually, I could have easily opted for a 3870x2 but I didn't feel like it was an investment...wanted to change my board too!!

I'm looking to upgrade too, if I can find an E7200 CPU for cheap, or maybe if someone is kind enough to sell their Q6xxx CPU for less than Rs.20000 :D
