- What kind of games you intend to play
- At what settings
- And you PC specs would be helpful too

go for a 8600GT @ unity

Brother stay out of 1gb Ram cards .Go for 512mb Simply because Ram clock is slower for1gb.
Most of today's games 512mb is more than enough.
But slower ram speed(bandwidth) made them all unplayable.
Compare the ram speed with 512mb card by Googleing internet
Anyway card you mention is good only for older directx 9.0c games.
