When I watched news today, I was extremly sad of the attempt they have done to humiliate the people of Colombo by placing hay in the middle of the junctions in Colombo with rude Banners
I was deeply shocked and depressed on what the Health Minister Hon. Nimal Siripala de Silva metaphorically mentioning the people who didn't vote for the government as "Cows" and "Grass Consumers" (Harak saha Thanakola kana minissu).
This is a great threat for the democracy of this country and nobody for whatever reason should insult people like that, Not even the President
Everyone has a right to vote for the party they prefer, irrespective of their personal openions, it is very rude and unfair to insult people with other political beliefs. On what grounds can we argue that people with contradicting political ideologies are false
My Dear Friends at the end of the day Colombo is the Heart of this Country and their openion do matter, so if they wish to have a different political ideology we have a decent right to accept it weather we like it or not.
Therefore we should not let People of Colombo to be humiliated like this,and please afterall we all have a right to express our openions and please don't let people of Colombo (for that matter anybody)to be humiliated like this.
