wht the heck is the point in reducing the PETROL price!!!

who are affected mainly by the fluctuations in the petrol prices!!!

    1. Elite car owners
    2. Three-wheelers
    3. Motor cycles

all of the above comprise only a small portion when get compared to the ones who use diesel.

are these ppl who use petrol vehicles really affected!!!

Elite car owners - come on it'll be a joke if they are affected when they can afford to go about in a car daily.

Three-wheel owners - well these guys would simply charge higher figures for their hires - who the hell monitor or put regulations on the absurd charges they make!

Motor cycles - actually they may get affected but is it that significant of an issue to be considered???

Another thing, y'day when there was a short-fall in the stations for petrol it wasn't an issue of supplying of petrol to the stations by the oil refineries but the stations simply didnt place orders for new stock.

So in my opinion the fuss they make about petrol prices is just absurd and a waste of time!!!

Do u know ? 50% all motor vehicals of sri lanka are Motor cycles ??
majority of SL transportation is there.

    Kandy.
trying to tie up the war with petrol prices are just ridiculous....even if u sell petrol at the rate of 100 rupees government would get a lot of tax.
ok lets say we dont want the government to reduce the petrol prices because we want to support the war....its our show of solidarity with our brave forces as common masses....but what cost cutting does corrupt mahinda and his corrupt cabinet do to make the war effort possible...stupid idiots who say that petrol price should not go down coz of the war should question that...

    Thats true...ma bad for putting motor cycles in the small portion of vehicles comprised :) BUT I'd rather consider these;

    1. The size of the vehicle against the fuel consumption

    2. The amount of goods and people a vehicle can carry.

    3. The frequency of travel by a vehicle

Well I'd suggest to increase the public transportation but I ain't the minister of transportation to practically suggest that :P

When you say "bikes" many in remote areas use push-bikes not motor-bikes. If some use the motor-bikes the frequency of travelling in them has to be looked at. I dont think they travel in motor bikes like the way ppl travel in urban areas.

    well dats wat you think...
    but i've seen them...
many even transport there products by byks...

and still byk owners are not counted as upper class...
so you need to think of them...
