hey why dnt u understand yaar...
U told that, in High Resolution VGA bottlenecks no..?
So if they use (4870 X2 or 295) in SLI or CF GPUs never bottleneck...? So we could get the Real CPU result:yes:

    Remember you're comparing a 2.66Ghz CPU to a 3GHz CPU

We dnt want that the CPU is 2.66GHz or 3.0GHz or 3.5GHz :D :D
    We need Price/Performance;) ;)

Put in an i7-940 and the results will be changed
    Hea ur 940 Benchmark....

Intel ppl put dam Prices on their CPUs...
wot abt i7 920 & 940... There are few FPS difference.
    bt prices 920 - $300
    940 - $600$

Why do you think people ONLY play games on their PCs? In every other benchmark, AMD loses greatly! And if people can afford 4870's and 295's, why can't they afford a Ci7 rig? If you want a cheap ass rig, with decent performance still get a C2Q system :P

Remember you're comparing a 2.66Ghz CPU to a 3GHz CPU. Maybe the benchmarks you showed don't get bottlenecked by VGA until CPU speed reaches 3GHz :P Put in an i7-940 and the results will be changed :P

why they don't use SLI or CF? It's a CPU review, not a VGA review. DUH!

    P.S.
Have you seen reviews where sometimes nVidia cards have a lower FPS than ATI cards, EVEN WHEN IT IS CPU LIMITED? It could simply be a driver issue!!!
hello anusha aiye................oya kiyana eka mama hithenawa aththa kiyala......mama game karanne 1680x1050....mage FPS limit karanne mage CPU ekada (AMD X2 Athlon 6000+) natham mage GPU ekada (8800GT SLI) ??? :oo:

Yeah,,,i knw K10.5 cnt beat Nehalem Architecture in same GHz..
Cuz Nehalem is da Intels second Architecture in 45nm
Bt K10.5 is da Very first one in 45nm Desktops. I think AMD has done a great job by their First 45nm CPUs (Even Beat i7s in some Benchiez)
    I heard abt d@ Phenom II 950 - 3.1GHz , 965 - 3.3GHz & 990 - 3.5GHz (in stock) are comming... Sure they will give a real competition to i7s...
And other thing Intel gonna change their Socket when swiching to Core i5(Low TDPs) WTF...Core & Nehalem guys cnt upgrade their Rigz:angry:

This is not only abt da CPU machan. But System Platform will affect to PC performance...
When u going for a Intel i7 Platform u must hav to pay for expensive X58 Chipset...
I heard d@ some X58s doesnt support for nVidia SLI...only for ATI CF:rolleyes:
bt when u going for a AMD 790 platform its a nice chipset for ATI CF...And its damn cheap:yes:
And if u like to nVidia SLI u can simply switch to Nforce chipset...

And if people can afford 4870's and 295's, why can't they afford a Ci7 rig?

No its wrong dude,,,,, Ppl how going for a 4870X2 or 295 sure they expect huge gaming performance;) So they could go for AMD & save money & spend them for 4870X2 or 295;)
And other thing in this time Rigz depend on GPU nt CPU...
If i ask from some guys wot is your pc...? They answer like "4850 ekak ban...":D :P

AND i heard that the phenom II will arrive in Q4 2009 when the i7 prices and the DDR3 prices will be damn low. So why would people pay for a higher clocked Phenom II 940 when there will be cheap nehalem SKUS by the end of 2009 which kick the asses of the phenom IIs :P

Nvidia doesn't have nforce chips for core i7

All x58s support SLI but the motherboard should be validated by Nvidia to give the SLI License

Get rid of your AMD fanboism
AMD = very good performance & lower prices
Intel= EXCELLENT performance & higher prices

IMHO, it's not reasonable to compare Intel & AMD with single measurement tool

if you compare ATi with nVidia based on Game compatibility, what will you get? ;)

U talking abt Q4 2009 huh...? In Q4 2009 or Q1 2010 there will be Core i5 Low TDP Lynnfields with new Socket:D  .....So who go for Old Core or Core i7:lol:
U knw i heard abt dat Core i5 prices will be damn Expensive:confused:
AMD Cutting their their Costs & give good Chips But after Intel....;)

Who would buy a core i5 if it was more expensive than a core i7 ?
    Answer: LOSERS

Core i7 is faster than core i5 BTW

If Amd gives excellent performance why can't their chips beat the intel chips at the same clock rate? :P
And why can't a Phenom x3 /x4 ( not phenom II) beat a wolfdale processor with two cores?;)

Ah..? If u going to buy a new Rig.... wot it will be... A core 2 one:D No way it should be a Core i7;) Like d@....
Your LOSERS will buy Core i5s cuz they could do their 130W Core i7 works with 95W ne...?

Core i7 is faster than core i5 BTW
Yeah...Some CPUs will slower than i7s... Bt Intel dnt go backward with Lynnfields...
There will be Some Extreme Lynnfields Speeder than the i7..

    Good question..???
    Why AMD cnt beat Intel..
    INTEL Employees = 83,900 (2008)
    AMD Employees = 15,653 (2008)

So i think Now U can understand wot kind of job that AMD doing:yes:
They are always closing to Intel... Even in some game Benchmarks PII beats i7s:D
So Thats not Enough from AMD..??
Thats why AMD cheap & Intel f*cking Expensive...

wot u again talking abt f*cking Same Clock speeds....
    ppl want Price/Performance..

    If i ask u like this " Why Intel Pentium Ds(Even 65nm s) couldnt beat AthlonX2(90nm) Chips huh...?":D :D
    AMD cnt always be first...!!!

And why can't a Phenom x3 /x4 ( not phenom II) beat a wolfdale processor with two cores?;)

WTF... Some core Duos are beaten by old AthlonX2s(90nm)...
And most 7000 Series Core 2s are same as PhenomX3s... Remember all phenoms are 65nm.... And most Core 2 Duos are 45nm...so they are stable...ok:confused:
Q6600(65nm) is same as PhenomX4 9850 & 9950.... Sometimes beat in Game benchmarks....So...?

    INTEL Employees = 83,900 (2008) -- Having Good CPUs(Rulz) & Shitty GPUs...
AMD Employees = 15,653 (2008) -- Having Good CPUs & Rulz in GPUs...
(1/5 Empoyees than INTEL) WTF man...:D :D

WTF man, how can the number of employees affect the performance of their CPUs?

E8x00 series beats the asses out of all the phenom x3's ;)

I liked AMD in the P4 era, but after they came out with the shitty Phenom, i dumped them lol :D

How can you say that the Q6600 is the same as Phenom x4 9850/9950 ?
The Q6600 beats them in most of the benchmarks :P

Still AMD is using Immersion lithography in its 45nm fab process while Intel is using more better and efficient technologies to produce 45nm chips
And Intel will emerge as the first to use 32nm High-K Fab process :D

If Intel produces core i5s that can beat the i7 then its damn stupid of them
Therefore we will never see the core i5 series beat the i7 series

    Face the truth man!

P.S- Phenom II cannot be compared to core i7 in any means

That means, sane people wouldn't ditch 40-50% performance Intel gets in certain areas of computing, just because in ONE or TWO games the PII snatches the lead (and amazingly people can't see the difference between 100 and 110 FPS, though they can feel the difference between 1 hour and 1.5 hours in rendering etc.) :P

If a fully loaded enthusiast Intel rig costs you USD5000, and if the same system with AMD CPU + Mobo costs u USD4750, I would pick the Intel one. Especially when the Intel one can be 40-50% faster on certain areas. So you are spending 5.2% more $$$ for a 40% more performance (not in games, I agree, but :P)? Well worth it IMO!!!

if you talk about the performance of just the CPU/Mobo, then Ci7 has a very low performance/price ratio. But not to forget there are also other parts in a system, that make the price paid for the CPU/Mobo is only a fraction of the price.

still if you are a price conscious person, low-end C2D (such as E5200,E7300) is the way to go. OC the crap out of it, and no AMD PII's can beat the *gaming* performance/price ratio of it :D

yeah bro , these days we should try to save as much money as we can.
An Oc'ed C2D is the way to go !

Anyway, we will never be able to SLI or Crossfire In Sri Lanka because of the *?@# prices :P

All guys want awesome gaming Experience...So PII performs (In gaming) Same as i7s & Yorkfields...And they got cheap/amazing 790 platform & Cheap ATi graphics.
So thatz why ppl go for Dragon Platform..:P

    So u agree that i7 940 & 965 are fair prices for that CPUs.....never:confused:

who said anything about 940/965? 920 is the way to go, and it OCs to 4GHz. 965 doesn't go any higher anyway.

and y do u think a cheap c2q system doesn't give awesome performance???
