all about your preferences,, i could have compared, if both phone had the same OS, nyway,,,if i had to choose, i would go for xperia p, just because, im an android fanboy,, have used both phones, OS/screen size are the major issues.,,, hardware wise, p has better h/w, but,an iphone 4s with iOS in it feels more like the same,,, just have a look on both of those, from a show room, and decide.
it depends on whether, u want a larger screen/not, better display quilty/not , android/ios etc.


PS :- u should consider the price of these two,coz, there are plenty of other choices as well...

Screen size isn't a major deal for me.Just want the performance buddy.
With lot of apps what is going to lag first is my greatest concern

if your going to use it with stock stuff,, yeah,,in longer run, p might get just a little lag here n there,,,,and yes, iOS is a bit smoother when comparing these two devices., But, if you willing to do some customization, P gonna perform way beyond, iphone 4s...specilly if you port, lollipop in it,,you'll have a way more smoother OS than iOS....

But, at the same time, if you willing to do some customization, i suggest you to buy a samsung or a htc..
