Dreamweaver වල තියෙන්නේ WYSWYG(what you see what you get.) Interface එකක්. මේවගේ Interface එකකදි Edit කරන්න හරි ලේසියි. ඒ වගේම තමයි
CSS, JavaScript වෙන File එකකට දාලා ඕනම තැනකට attach කරන්නත් පුලුවන්
ඒකට Properties වලින් Location එක දෙන්න විතරයි ඕනේ. ඒ වගේම Dreamweaver support කරනවා Database attach කරන්න, ASP.NET වලට, C# file Edit කරන්න මේ වගේ Web Designing ඉදලා Develop දක්වා කරන්න පුලුවන් තනි Software එකක් තුළදීම.
ඒ වගේම තමයි Drag/Drop feature එක, Toolbox එක තියෙන නිසා කිසිම Tutorial එකක් නැතුව ඕනෙම කෙනෙකුට පටන්ගන්න පුලුවන් Install කරපු වෙලාවේ ඉදලම. Dreamweaver, Maya,3dMAX වගේ අමාරු නෑ.

නමුත් ASP.NET කරනවා නම් හොද Visual Studio IDE එකයි, MS SQL වලට හොද
SQL Management Studio එක හරහා Database use කරන එකයි.
ඒක ගොඩක් ලේසියි. PHP වලට හොද Aptana Studio එක ඒක ගොඩක් ලේසියි මම දැක්ක විදියට, Firefox වලට Addon එකක් එන නිසා realtime edit කරන්න පුලුවන් browser එක මතදීම. ^
ඒ වගේම Free තනිකරම. Java වලට හොද Netbeans එක හරි Eclipse එකයි. මේ දෙකේම කිසිම ප්රශ්ණයක් නැතුව Tomcat ,Glassfish install කරන්න පුලුවන් කිසිම මහන්සියක් නැතුව Next, nExt කරගෙන ගිහිල්ලම. JavaScript වලට හොද Komodo editor එකයි

උඹ කියන එකත් ඇත්ත. මාත් aptana වලින් වැඩ කරල තියෙනවා. ඒත් ඒකෙ හිටපු ගමන් අවුල් එනවා. remote matchin එකක වැඩ කරන්නම බෑ. මම නම් php ඉගෙන ගන්න පටන් ගත්ත දවසේ ඉදන් use කරන්නේ netbeans. කිසිම tool එකක් නැතුච ඔක්කොම කරේ අතින්. ඒකෙන් මට ඉක්මනටම ඉගෙන ගන්න පුලුවන් වුනා.

I don't wanna push u. It's up to you.
but in case if you changed your mind don't forget to grip one language
correctly. I suggest you start from C++. C++ is a most powerful programming language in this world. here is a good book for that.
I followed the 5th edition but since recently the 6th edition was released
I suggest you start from here. and remember if you don't want to depend on someone when it comes to programming then do what I said.
this primer plus is a masterpiece book so it's worth to try out.
one day when you are a software developer/software engineer your salary is depend on your skills and experience. so if you have a good knowledge
about what you do then you can easily climb up without wasting your
precious time. so think about it. it's a long term investment.

hmmm true. i totally understand. and i know how important it is. but i know myself well enough and i know for a fact that i'll never do it. i have 4 months summer holidays n i bet i wouldnt do it. thats just me. *sigh*
I have seen a lot of people like you. the main reason is you don't have a habit to do a particular work. Human beings are extraordinary creatures.
so if you can make your averse work a habit you can solve the issue so easily.
so if that's the case you need to force yourself to do it at first place. then try to make some goals, objects. also link what you like to your work.
by that way you can improve the willingness while getting rid the aversion.
anything is possible it's just the matter of consent.
If you have no idea what to do next then you would probably hesitate to step forward. so know your work and your destination. so you can do whatever you want. don't let your mind to control you, you need to control yourself.
