Plz! help me there is a big virus in my PC !!...

It says quarantined, so everything seems ok. Your network problems are most likely caused by the errors in the firewall. If you have a router then no need to install a 3rd party firewall. Windows firewall is enough. Those firewalls will only slow your PC down and cause this kind of unwanted problems. Next time just install a Virus guard, DON'T put a security suite. But if you only have a modem, then maybe a 3rd party firewall is better.

I use NOD32, and I have put up a thread comparing it against many other virus guards out there (including kasperskey) and it is rated better than KK.

machan use hiren boot cd which includes mass of software collection . the hiren boot cd has mini XP as well , u can boot the PC from CD then search the virus using the Kaspersky tool ...

I agree on this. For me ESET anyway is the best. Much more lighter and fast at detection.

P.S- I am not saying Kaspersky is slow.

Yes. A Clean Windows XP Installation is recommended. Sometimes the virus may attach itself to the ESET Installer.

According to Microsoft: “svchost.exe is a generic host process name for services that run from dynamic-link libraries”.

And installed KIS and it works 100% ok no case at all
and the problem is i need to make the SP2 into SP3 please help me out with this
