ඔන්න කොල්ලෙක් කෙල්ලෙක් ලඟට ගිහින් අහනවලු "අපි දෙන්න දවසකට විතරක් යාළුවො වගේ ඉමුද" කියල, කෙල්ල උත්තරයක් නොදී හිතනව ටිකක් ... කොල්ල ආපහු අහනවා "මොකෝ කියන්නෙ, කැමතිද?"
සාමාන්ය අපි වගේ රටක කෙනෙක් "මොකෝ කියන්නෙ, කැමතිද?" වගේ දෙයක් කියන්නෙ ... "are you agree with me to do it" ... ඒත් ඇත්තටම සුද්දෙක් නම් කියන්නෙ "are you down with it?"
අන්න ඒ වගේ ඇත්තටම සුද්දො කියන දේවල් හොයාගත්තොත් මිසක නම්, මේකෙ ඉන්න අනාතයෝ සිංහල වාක්ය ඉංග්රීසියට හරෝපුව බලල නම් උඹට ඕක කරගන්න බැරි වෙයි ...

Rule no1 : Never learn English from teachers who are originally from Sri Lanka, you'll never get to know the real essence of English and you'll learn some ordinary translated like English from SL teachers who also sucks in real English ...

Ukranian yaluwek innawa. Eki tika kalayak Australia indala thiyenne. Eki yeah kiyana eka kiyanna yeaaah wage. Ekige husband Australin. Uge nam aussie accent eka thiyanawa.

Just saying the difference in pronunciation.
But yeah. I speak with people from those countries every day. Mostly Irish, Australian & Canadian.

Let me tell you something
There are so many differences between native speakers and us. When you speak a second language will never be able to speak it as a native speaker. Why is that?
The first time you start learning a language, your mind collect everything regarding the language you learn. like the words, sentence patterns, word order, lexies ...etc Then the brain memory starts working. By the age of you start speaking, the muscles of your mouth collects data that how to pronouns the words, word stress, intonation, schwa sounds and many other things regarding speaking.most of the people try to copy the way the native speaker pronouns the language but sorry to say no one can imitate that without learning it in a real learning surrounding. They think they do it very well but can be identified very easily.
I'm still a learner but obtained the international teaching certificated offered by the British Council and the University of Cambridge.

no! do NOT do this. Your knowledge of the language will be extremely flawed if you try to learn like this.
Speaking of accents,
This pronunciation is by Australians. A southerner from USA would pronounce this as "frydi" so that wont help.
Watching movies to learn nuances will be fine but not to learn the language. The few rare times this method holds true is if you watch British period piece shows such as the 90s Sherlock Holmes TV series, Jeeves and Wooster the 80s Famous Five, or such movies as the recent "Darkest Hour". Also, the BBC news service.
The only way to learn the language is to learn it from a knowledgeable and experienced teacher, practice it in use and in writing as well as to read good books regularly. Thats the only way to get a good command of the language.
