True, it's not a pure Lancer anyways. 2007 version is THE LANCER to date, this is just "Grand" Lancer

That being said, I'd love to have its interior in the 2007 Lancer exterior though.

Yeah. Interior looks modern minus that old school touch. Maybe packed with electronics and feels like a robot to drive like many new cars today?

Probably, by the interior, I meant those seats and the redesigned dash+center console (minus the computer screen - I'll take an analog speedo over an LCD display any day)
