Well, bought Sorento in 2021 and put over 30000 KMs on it. I have driven that car more than anything else I owned so far.

Sorry my bad, i was wrong.

Here in Aus, I remember reading somewhere with this particular model (ZL series?) only the Plug-in Hybrid was made in Japan. Looks like it`s wrong and they are all made in Japan. It turns out the current model is build in Japan too, though the platform is shared with Nissan X-Trail (Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance).

Nice!! Unbreakable luxury! Grey import isnt it? Presume you are in Aus, have you looked in to insurance? any issues there?

Yup, I usually do insure with Shannons, they understand imports.

Great. I`ve used Shannons once when i had a 90`s car (BMW E30) that wasnt getting used much. They were quite good at adjusting the policy to my needs.

If you dont mind sharing, what are the approximate insurace costs for a car like this? There are so many JDM cars I like, insurance dramas always kept me off.

I really haven't checked that yet, last time I paid around 50$ per month (paid monthly) for a imported car which I valued for 14K (For the cost I spent ), I might have to pay something near 80 for this, not sure...
