Four Police officers have been admitted to Colombo National Hospital with grievous injuries following an attack launched on them by the neighbors in T20 garden. This incident occurred when the Police in plain clothes went to arrest an individual.
When these four cops struggled with the wanted individual whom they met as they were leaving the garden; the suspect’s pregnant wife, Shyamali Priyangani (30) had objected to her husband being taken away. Whereupon, the police officers have attacked and kicked her after she has fallen down on the ground .
Following this Police assault, the neighbors in the garden had retaliated in fury against the Police officers and attacked them.
The Fort Police has recorded a statement of Shayamali Priyanagani in this connection.
