Yes almost 50%tax is not reasonable. The biggest issue is non cascading TL which was implemented in place of VAT by previous government is also continuing.

That is before the tax increase.
According to unlimitedbb previous taxes were

Mobile/Fixed/TV - 27.55%
Data - 12.24%

Bill says its 25% and 10% and they have added CESS separately

So after the tax hike

Tax for phone calls will be 345*49.73% = 171.56
Tax for Broadband will be 1490*31.77 = 473.37

So new bill is (345+1490+171.56+473.37) = 2479.93

2479.93-2112.42 = 367.51

I will have to pay Rs. 367.51 more next month.
