Prices of Imported goods will come down if Government imports them then no need for LC. Sri Lanka has become a dumping ground for obsolete technology and electronics. Sri Lanka government should import all bulk goods but not personal items. It will be able to control Forex like Communist countries. Since the interest for Letter of Credit is gone then prices will come down. Banks will not make profit out of people's misery. Government will be able to sell to retail out lets and consumers.
