Problems with SLT ADSL conectivity ?#%@&???

hey some strange stuff happened to me on 26, Mon, i got disconnected from the line several times and when i try to restart the router and reconnect... it was failing for some hours or 1 and half hours.... i have the ADSL working but the PPP line is down. the router has no IP and no connectivity.... i wonder why?

any ideas? and have this ever happened to you...??? i mean today i could not connect to the internet for a hour or so because` of this shit...

ya guys prob wit SLT... dey had der DNS service go bust... if sum f u guys stil cnt surf... go to network properties... dns... n change ur primary dns to 203.115.0.46... r else SLT servers r givin sum other bogus ip... d prob is stil der..so go change ... thnx guys

hmmm i didnt notice anythin like dat.. my connection went bast at around 6 but i just restarted the router and it was fine... slt is supposed tpo be upgrading their netwprk ryt wonder if any connection upgrades are planned?

machan this is not that normal DNS thing... my router could not initiate a PPP connection with the other side(some SLT gateway...., SLT router...???)... the ADSL light was green but the WWW light was dead... in my router.. so its not the DNS server problem....

It happens. I don't know why for sure. But I think it could be for some maintenance routines at the BRAS. BRAS is responsible for managing user sessions. This usually happens once a month in Piliyandala.
