Recommend me a Good Sound Card

should be 5.1 & should be good for Gaming as well as Music Editing

Budget Rs. 10,000

Machan, For 10k you can buy a Creative Xtreme Music from PC Land as i remember. Or a Gamer FPS for 14k. But i recommend you getting a card from ebay or someplace as the prices in SL for sound cards are crap!.

You can try the new Asus Xonar DX which is better in terms of audio quality over the Xtreme Music.

If games are your concern then creative is the wise way to go. Or if you want the best rob the bank and go in for a Auzentech X-Fi Prelude.

I went around the uni yesterday

These are the only models the entire Unity Plaza has

1. Creative Audigy - 3400/=
2. Creative X-Fi Extreme Gamer Fataleti Pro - 34,750/= (Ridiculous)

Then I called asus Center & They have

1. Creative X-Fi Extreme Gamer - 19,900/=
2. Asus Xonar D2X (PCI Express) - 19,900/= (Worthless as My board only has 1 PCI Express slot & its already occupied)

I cant spend nearly 20k on a freaking sound card...

so my only available choice is Audigy.... Audigy 4 ?

Or do u know a place where I can get a X-Fi Extreme Gamer or an Extreme Audio for 10k ???

I'm gonna buy it this week..so help appreciated..
