This is a great album musically... He has proven himself as the best vocalist in SL from all the angles. And the tracks are also not bad like you have mentioned. I can understand your anger against him. You didn't get what you expected here.This album lacks the acoustic feel . That's the main reason for the disappointment. I would say, if he does accoustic versions of the same songs-U will love them. Because, most of the songs in the album have strong melodies and good chord variations. But, what Kasun tried to do here is tring different styles. Failed in few aspects... Mixing- It was terrible; because of that , some songs sound odd.. For Example-Pitastharaya ; If the heavy guitars ,dist guitar parts and accoustic drums were mixed properly and if they were sounding properly, you would have had a totally different experience.IT IS NOT LIKE A SHIHAN SONG. See the flow in the melody and chords. The villain was mixing here. Then Arambumama- It is a typical Kasun song- that's why most people liked it and this one doesn't fit this album too. But, a nice song. There is a noticable issue- Keyboard strings.. It sounds so odd. There are good Philharmonic samples they could have used it. Then , it will at least sound like real strings. Same problem with Obata Mathakada- They have used real orchestra+keyboards... Its visible in it.. It is very costly to conduct a proper orchestra for a song like this. But, a really good try.
Finally-Sanda Onaa...It is a typical 6/8 track done in a different way. Have you ever heard a very good voice and good voice variation and rendering in any one of thousands of 6/8 tracks in Sri Lanka.. Here, Kasun has done a magic. It is a simple track. But, there is a magic and a good experiment done there. We should appreciate this than comdemning (This is my point of view).
Let him to do any kind of tracks. Latin, Indian, Rock, Jazz (By the way, I would have loved if there was a Jazz track in this album) or even hip hop....anything. He is the best vocalist in Lanka. Let him to set standars everywhere. You might not like some types of tracks. But, there are other people to like those tracks. And you can't blame that he is doing bad music here because he doesnt do a particular kind of music. And Even computerised/synthetic music also is very nice if it is used in proper way...Say a right mix of accoustic and synthetic music can crteate magic. A song gets it's weight when all the frequencies are filled properly. Some synths can fill missing frequencies in an accoustic song. And, that is not wrong at all.......

Yes. He has used vocal techniques all over this song...
It is a nice track which has orchestral influence.Yes, the best option is to use real orchestra...Say at least 20 Violins, 2 cellos , 2 Double Basses ... But, it is very rare in Sri lanka. In India- Yes; there are conductors and orchestras ..And it will cost a lot. But, think of at least Kasun recovering the cost here..But, because of the cost, he shouldn't stay without producing a track like this. So, it is a good try.. But, there is a good option to use some professional samples like Vienna strings etc - Then you can get a live feel.
BTW- Have a listen to A R Rahman's Yuvvraaj hindi film album. A Nice marriage with orchestra and modern music!

Kandula- Yeah. It is a good track. But, you are proving that you are an accoustic fan again .. Any song with some nice chords and variations would sound great

Andure- It's kinda Jazzy number . i guess it is done by Mahinda Bandara. His touch is all over there. If there a continuous saxaphone back up, this would have been nicer.

Harithawena- Nice accoustic relaxing track again.. and the pad/choir type vocal backups are cool.

Leila- Yeah. A nice Latin track. I love the Guitar/Banjo. He has got some nice guitarists around ...

Warna- one of my favourite tracks. Kasun and the gang has done one the best a Capella track here. Even BnS tried in "Feel My Love".. But, See the huge gap with this and that ! Perfect voicing in this track.. I guess it is a dedication to Kemadasa master

Hmmm.... Too much of keyboard strings feel (Like BnS songs) and Drums EQ- Sucks. Once again-an orchestra based song like Obata thamwa mathakda- a real orchestra feel and good mixing would have saved this song

I would say the same - what i mentioned in the previous post. There is one more thing I would say- There are only a limited number of fans to Kasun... Because, everyone doesn't like the type of music he does. But, they all should realise Kasun has got a voice way better than the others who call themselves stars. So, why not Kaun do a few songs in different genres and show them. Then, he will get a better fan base. After that, you can induce some good music gradually - In that way, we could change the music taste and bring it to a good standard...
Do you think these people here in SL do pure R&B? Anybody can get RnB modulations and vibrato in their voices in Sri Lanka? RnB is a good genre. I guess Umara has at least got some good RnB voice here.. I haven't seen anyone else.

For me- each and every song in the album is different and carrying different message. if the mixing was perfect, then it is fine. And , what everyone was expecting from KK was something different. But, this is totally different from the expectation. Withe repeated listen, this album would grow into you.
