Key Developments so far

Latest attempt to preserve peace, Assad offered unconditional amnesty on surrender for the rebels in Aleppo . But it was immediately rejected citing the lack of trust on Assad.

But 2nd attempt to save peace is underway. UN envoy to Syria is actively taking steps to get Rebels out of Aleppo with their weapons. Russia is fully supporting this move right now.

From yesterday onwards, field commanders are given full authority to make independent decisions regarding Air Defense Issues, Moscow will not be supervising them any longer.
