1. You don't need to close SAITM. Let them do what they originally got the approval for.
ie. running Management courses. The "M" stood for Management & NOT Medicine

I mostly agree on his other observations. But there are students in SAITM who had not got even obtained the basic qualifications to do a Medicine course.
Any private institution who runs any Degree courses should stick to a common set of pre-requisites that conform to the UGC guidelines.
Pretty simple and no argument. The mechanism to apply to these institues should be transparent.
I don't understand why people beat around the bush.
(Except of course the Government Ministers who have their finger in the pie for obvious reasons we all know about.)

Didn't the idiotic parents of these SAITM students know about the recognition of the degree beforehand when they paid the money to enrol their children? Of course they knew, because the GMOA ran adverts in the newspapers warning any prospective students.
They cannot make any complaints now- They don't have any right to do so. Being ignorant is not an excuse - just bear the consequences. Needless to comment on the intelligence of their offspring ;-(

So go damn government allocate some money from the damn budget to provide free education for us. Its not salable when it comes to higher education as population grows. Only way is to start private campuses and maintain standards from government
