machan i have 250gb Maxtor diamondmax sata hdd. last couple f days it gives me errors like freezing up my pc,not detecting and wen booting up my pc,it takes longer than usual.wen i disconnect frm cables and boot up,there it goes. after, i downloaded an exe from a manufacturer's website and tested the drive. test failed.it tells me there are bad sectors in the drive.
and i tried some third party wiping tools to wipe the hdd and still no use.
1.DARIK'S BOOT AND NUKE
2.COPY WIPE
3.ACTIVE KILL DISK FREE EDITION
4.PC INSPECTOR
5.HDD ERASE
these are the softwares i used to erase. afaik, these all are wiping tools and no use for my hdd.
machan, is there any way to recover the hdd.like zero filling. i want to re-write this bad sectors,or leave those behind and use this hdd again. the thing is i cannot claim the warranty bcz, i received this from dubai, one of my uncle gave me few months back.
is there any way to recover the hdd??? a software? free one?
