besides it says that the boy fell sick 15 days after he ait the piece of pineapple.

Even if the fruit piece was infected with a large number of virus particles,it takes about 5-6 months for the antibodies to form against the HIV virus to fight unsuccesfully against the powerful virus in the body.

Its by detecting these anti HIV antibodies by the ELISA test(ENZYME LINKED IMMUNO SORBITANT ASSAY) a person can be diagnosed to have HIV
So this 5-6 months are very crucial as even if the person is infected, there's no way of detecting the diease inside him/her & he can spread the disease unknowingly to other ppl during this period.
Thats why this 6 month period after infection till detection is called the "Window Period" in HIV infection
After this stage, the immune system fights back in whichever way it can for about 5 years till the immune system itself gets destroyed by the virus & then symptoms like Unexplained Fever,Weigh Loss,Diarrhoea lasting for months at a stretch start appearing
Thereafter, depending on the immune status & the treatment, the person can survive another 3-5 years with the disease until he dies of diseased like TB,Meningits of small cancers,Pneuminia eyc... which spread without any problem in the body woth a weakened immune system
So as per the common misconception,Its not HIV virus which kills an infected person, but its other infections which cause death brought about by Acute Immuno Deficiencey Syndrome(AIDS) caused by Human Immunodeficiency Virus(HIV)

Its just that some idiots make up these sort of stories to scare other people & get some Joy out of it......
Ever heard about the story of ppl getting pricked by a needle on the seat of a cinema theatre with a note attached informing the person who got pricked that he/she got infected with HIV??.......same thing Bro.....Its just a rumour that made a lot of ppl even stop going for movies in film halls

    Yeah Bro

It takes about 5-6 month Gap to detect HIV infection in an infected person.Read my post above for more info
some ppl may even go on for 5-6 years without knowing it till they start getting symptoms making them get the ELISA test done & find out only then

i got this through a email...and pls add this also to the 1st post cos its very important

    Dear Friends,

Kindly take a couple of minutes to go thru this mail. If useful
may advise others also. Please pass this on to others This happened in
Colombo recently and may happen elsewhere also.

few weeks ago, in Savoy film hall,
a person felt something poking from her seat. When she got up
to see what it was, she found a needle sticking out of the seat with a
note attached saying "You have just been infected by HIV". The
Disease Control Center (in Colombo) reports many similar events
in many other cities recently. All tested needles were HIV Positive.
The Center also reports that needles have been found in cash dispensers at
public banking machines. We ask everyone to use extreme caution when faced
    with this kind of situation.
All public chairs/seats should be inspectedwith vigilance and caution before use.
A careful visual inspection shouldbe enough. In addition,
they ask that each of you pass this message along to all members of your family
and your friends of the potential danger.
Recently, one doctor has narrated a somewhat similar instance
that happened to one of his patients at the Contrast Cinema in Dalugama.

A young girl, engaged and about to be married in a couple of months, was
pricked while the movie was going on. The tag with the needle had the
message " Welcome to the World of HIV family". Though the doctors told
her family that it takes about 6 months before the virus grows strong
enought to start damaging the system and a healthy victim could survive
about 5-6years, the girl died in 4 months, perhaps more because of the "Shock
thought". We all have to be careful at public places, rest God help!
Just think about saving a life by forwarding this message. Please, take a
seconds of your time to pass along.

Hey Guys, I am a medical doctor. I think this story is not true. The incubation period for HIV is usually months to years. It is very very unlikely for symptoms to appear 15 days after exposure. But this kind of spread is theoretically possible though!
