My Comment!!!

Well... statistically speaking this is only the second time we'll be meeting the Kiwis in a ICC Champions Trophy, the 1st one was way back in 98/99 season... it was a low scoring match we won!

Anyway in the decade starts from year 2000 up to date... SL has the upper hand and which proves with a 12 wins from 20 games that's a 60% success rate!!

SL didn’t perform well against NZ in their last 5 encounter though... losing 4 of them... in NZ!!!

As i see Fleming will be the greatest threat to Sri Lanka... Cuz, he is one of the best players of spin in NZ team and one of few who can take on Murali on his day!!!

Among top 4 experienced SL batsmen Jayasuriya and Marven averages in 30s, while Mahela and Sanga averages in 20s against NZ.. so I guess Jayasuriya's innings would be crucial! Actually I don’t mind seeing Jayasuriya back away and letting Tharanga do the fireworks!!! Cuz we need somebody like Jayasuriya to accelerate whenever we want in these slow pitches!!!

Anyway that's according to stats but, this is cricket.............. stats mean nothing sometimes!!!

Oh!!! last but not least I hope SL will include another full time spinner!!!

yep i agree. We lost da last match becoz we didnt hav another spinner. The track was turning and another spinner could hav bn very effective.
