Sri Lankan expatriates should be encouraged to invest in the Sri Lankan stock market as we see the foreign exchange inflow into the country from them. said the minister of Economic Development Mr. Basil Rajapaksa.

Minister Basil Rajapaksa called upon the Sri Lankans who are employed abroad to contribute towards the future of their families and the country by investing in the Stock Market as the stock market is developing in the country. “It is not only the affluent class that invests in the stock market. Those who have a business sense can earn the capital from the stock market for their investments.” he said.

Make Amurika Great Again !!
The Main Problem in our market is most of the foreigners are leaving the market, we need big foreign investors in the market and basil is crazy asking SL Expertise to invest cus 50 to 100 mill investments by the locals will not do any good for our market, Nimal, Dilith, dumindas brother are not inverters, they are day traders

If the market wont recover in coming few days we will see most of the locals exiting the market

yes the foreign outflow is a concern

CSE witnessed a net foreign outflow of 5.8 million rupees on Friday and thus far in 2011, offshore investors have sold 17.1 billion, and sold a record 26.4 billion in 2010.

more foreign investment is needed not just in the market
