hey pal, i c that u want to promote some site. and yes posting about a new site is not spaming... but u know this is a forum too... so its like a competitive place for ur to "advertise" the new site... and it brakes the policies ne... so i guess u should not do it... but i guess u will be banned anyways after this post...

now if i was u i will think of private messages than a public thread hehe... just kidding cause if u start sending private messages to everyone that is defenitly spam! hehe

try a little less aggressive way... may be put that in ur signature... well well i don't know may be that is out of the policies too...

According to the Definition of Spam in a forum - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forum_spam , this is still considered as spam. Also if the rules of the forum states no advertising of other web sites allowed, then a post that does advertise websites is not only a spam post but also a rule breaker as well.

All I said was that according to wikipedia, posts that advertises anything is regardaded as spam when its not in context with that particaular forum. Also if adversising is not permitted by the rules of a forum then such a post has broken the rules of the forum to which the author of the post agreed to in the first place.
Try to understand what the other person said before opening up your yap!
