sure mchn... go to one of them... sorry I couldn't mention them their... but u will have to learn little bit of maths before going there because gvt. unis don't spoon feed you with knowledge as in private ones... LoLzzzzz....

Well I guess I'll be learning maths anyway. I like maths though so it shouldn't be that hard(don't ask me why I studied bilogy because I'm still wondering too )

Lankawe thama inna balaporotthuwa. But having the ability to study/work abroade for a short time would be nice too. So if i go to our gov. faculty will i miss out on the opportunity?

malli if you beleive that you have enough marks to go engineering ,well go there (but Mora is the best & pere is also in good level)

if you plans to go physical ;University of colombo one is better..!!!
so if all are depends on your hand..But if you enroll to sliit your accedemic year stated from january..if you wait for Gov one you have to wait till August or jully.

Thank you for another prespective on the subject.
But I studied biology as my A/L stream. I am still trying to decide which path to choose. I will only be able to go to IT faculty at moratuwa or colombo i think. Yes SLIIT starting in Jan. is an advantage. Lots of people have told me that SLIIT was good too.

government universities are better than SLIIT.. even u dont want to pay for government universities.
wait until ur results come. I think thats the best if u are sure about ur AL results.

where ever u study, you need some special skills to go for higher levels.... fist try to go to gov.uni, because its also ok and free. if cant, go to SLIIT.
I have 2 friends who studied maths with me 2005 AL Ananda Vidyalaya, Col-10
one person went to sliit after first time AL, he is now working in Millenium IT as he said , salary is about 60 000 Rs.
another one failed AL 2 times in maths stream and 3rd time he did AL in arts stream and got passed.
He also now work in millennium IT, salary is 45 000 Rs .
both are sliit students. and another person who lives nearby our home in SL also studied at sliit , now working in petrolium co-operation, (about his salary i dont know, but good)
my sister's friend's brother studied at sliit and now he works in Sweden. after sliit he worked in SL for 1 year and found a job in Sweden.

well said machan.... only one thing. YOUR SKILLS..... i want to announce who r doing IT,Improve ur Knowledge.doing self studies... follow more languages. after that u can be a good professional IT graduate... that is the only thing u want to get GREAT JOB.
