There are many ADSL users all over the Sri Lanka.And recently many SLT ADSL users experienced slow Internet connection and download speeds.
Many experienced this speed drop in web surfing and downloading from direct links but not in Torrent downloading.why does this happening ?
We asked service providers and searched for many solutions online and also tried many things but nothing were able to set the speed of ADSL back to normal.Finally we got an answer to this. We tried these steps on few computers and they work fine now.So here are the steps.Follow these simple steps and get back to your previous super fast ADSL connection.

Clean your registry entries
Use a Power full registry cleaner to clean your broken registry entries.I recommend you to use UNIBLUE registry cleaner.You can download this programme throgh torrents.
Un install the Modem/router driver.
After un installing run the registry cleaner again in order to delete broken registry item and then restart your PC.
Reset the Modem/Router
You will find the reset button some where near the power button or check your manual of your modem/router in order to locate your reset button.
Re install the Modem/router drivers.
Configure TCP/IP settings
This is the most important part.Go to Network properties in the control panel.and you will see a connection properties there.Just leave the spaces and boxes as they are.And find the box where to put your incoming and out going port.For incoming and out going set Port numbers 27 and 21 respectively.
