SLT ADSL, Still no link

After waiting for quite some time to get my local exchange ADSL enabled, I applied for a new platinum connection that ships together with a ADSL connection.

I paid the connection fees of 7871.XX LKR on 13th of last month. And happily got the wireline installed on 20th of the same month.

Now, I am looking forward to get my ADSL connection up and running. I am using D-LINK DSL-2540T, router is configured properly and works well(I checked it).

Wanna mention that I got to pay another 2760 or something for additional 100m.
People at ADSL helpdesk says that my account is active (Yes,its active and i can login to the www.sltnet.lk.) But there is no ADSL link that my router detects.

After a complain, two people came with an ADSL tester. Tested, called somewhere and told me that my line is still not connected to the DSLAM at the exchange. And they would call back when its done.

Got a call from them saying that the connection is ok. But still now working. When I called some local exchange guy, he told that the line is still not hooked up to the DSLAM.

I guess they are not connecting my line until i pay that 2760 for 100m.
And my line is 5km long (i guess). I am between 4th and 5th kilometer.

Any one there who faced the same problem like me?.

Any reply would be appriciated. Sorry for the long story.

nywyz the best thing u could do is call them again n bash at the person hu picks up the phone
same ( not the exact) problec ocured to a cousin of mine n he did that , the next day he got everythin fixed

yep same here , when they say some crap tell you will complain & ask For His Name ... then you will have your connection in abt 1 hr or so did this 3 times

slt is the best isp in sri lanka.go to the slt teleshop and talk to them.they will fix

Ah, thats a good idea. when i didn't get the telephone connection activated, i just called the women(She was kind enough to act as soon as she can) who processed my application. And got the connection activated on the following day.

I will try calling her, But tomorrow is holiday....
What to do.., just waiting...

Just give them a call and jump at the guy whoever pick the phone up. You'll get your line fixed within 1 or 2 hours

slt is the best isp in sri lanka.go to the slt teleshop and talk to them.they will fix

well.. I too agree out f de other ISP providers SLT is da best. But , jst tlkng 2 thm won't fix nythng right away.. believe me.. If u rili wanna get somthng done..u gotta shout @ thm too

same problem to me lol.i applied for the entry package abut 2weeks ago and i 've done my adsl router configuration sucsessfully.yesterday i got a massage frm slt and they told me that my line was connected,but in my router there's no any kind of adsl signal indicating and there's no link bridge with the slt.so i complainted them (1234)about 3or 4 times and still they can't fix t he link.it's very boring that waiting for a internet connection like this.

Ya, its really boring to wait for the connection to get activated. I am still on my dial up connection (Not SLT )
