Having the 1500/= Old package. Getting a constant speed of ~70KBps on IDM at anytime of the day without any speed drops. Had a 60Gig usage last month

lool!!! today after all they told me that they have imposed a limit of 15 GB for us,
tomorrow mama yanawa SLT Central manager ge amma appa amathanna. amathala enaawa

It not really the government or TRC. SLT reducing speeds on their existing unlimited package holders. TRC or government will not force SLT to do that.
I can see TRC have approved very cheap plans to some new telecom operator.
So its not TRC or Gov. Its SLT itself trying to limit their international bandwidth usage.

According to my understandings , SLT were giving a quality service till fishing TRC bastards force all the operators to drop their service charges.
That being done the only way to compensate the loss is to issue the constant bandwidth among many customers than it originally designed for

and yes from 28th june they hv limited my speed also n cat login to fb yahoo mail gmail n flash sites

event it take 9 minutes to fully load google.lk

Ya bn theyre doing it again ... Im also afraid of losing speed ... but still surviving
Few of my friends faced that problem ... so some switched to the Limited package ... and some got there connection back with the help of there friends who are at SLT (Chief engineers even in rural branches etc )
