SLT announced VDSL2 - Upto 100 Mbps

Celebrating the ‘World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) last week, the national telecommunication service provider – Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) announced the soft launch of its Very-High-Bit-Rate Digital Subscriber Line 2 (VDSL2) advanced fixed broadband technology.

The addition of this new tech means the company’s broadband users could expect speeds of up to 100Mbps

SLT doesn't give the speed they promise. Even lower than the minimum speed most of the time. Anyway it's good to hear that they are ready for the new technology.

sooner Dialog will cover majority of SL with high speed LTE & grab all SLT customers
Mean while LB also eying on LTE,

LTE will take much time for cover ban , still people using fixed lines with issues even me too ban , took 8Mbps , now 4Mbps
