that's the cheapest among providers in srilanka...I mean the unlimited 512 connection...

Dude! Getting 56KBps is actually around the maximum value for a 512Kbps connection. You have the numbers wrong cos the Kbps means Kilo "bits" per second and For a 512Kbps you get 64KBps as the theoretical maximum. To get this max value you must be within 500-800m from the SLT exchange.Pppl think that the Kbps means Kilo Bytes per second and it is wrong terminology. I sometimes wonder whether SLT puts this on purpose to confuse us.

Earlier I too was mad about getting a low value and later on a friend of mine at SLT explained the maths behind it. BTW cant comment about the Peotv thing cos I'm not a user.

Agree with you....

Every telco company in the world use like that. they intentionally confuse people with Kilo bits and Kilo bytes....
