IDD calling charges have been reduced to 86% for Australia, Japan and European countries, 80% for all SAARC countries, 72% for all Middle Eastern countries, 71% for Russia and South East Asian countries and 45% for the USA, Canada, Singapore, China, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
The lowest call charge will be Rs.10 per minute for countries such as the USA, Canada, Singapore, China, Malaysia and Hong Kong while international call charges for all SAARC countries have been reduced to Rs.15 per minute.
The latest service by SLT is being offered to both post-paid and pre-paid choices through SLT telephones and the SLT Passport pre-paid calling cards respectively. With the opening-up of IDD facilities to all SLT telephone connections including SLT Citylink CDMA, taking international calls have become more convenient than ever before. All post-paid customers will also be able to enjoy SLT’s Premium IDD service while SLT Operator Assisted International Calls will be offered to customers free of any deposit.
For SLT Passport users the Premium IDD facility can be accessed by simply dialing ‘1288’ using a SLT telephone or dialing 011-2022023 through any other telephone service. The Budget IDD facility would be available to customers who would only be required to simply dial ‘1287’ via a SLT telephone or dial 011-2022022 through another telephone line. Customers also have the ability to generate local calls by dialing ‘1286’ through any SLT telephone or 011-2022021 from any other telephone.
