Patna: A youth from Bihar has petitioned the state government to seize the ‘ill-acquired' properties of his retired father who served as the district supply officer in the government.
The bizarre request to punish his father has come from Ajay Kumar, from north Bihar's Vaishali district across the Ganges, who has launched a campaign against corruption in his home district apparently impressed by social activist Anna Hazare's 12-day-long fast to end graft.
In his written petition to the district magistrate of Vaishali, the youth has alleged his father Ramchandra Ram amassed huge wealth and acquired assets by using corrupt means and misusing his position as the district supply officer during his posting in the government.
He sought for a thorough probe into his father's properties and suitable penal action if he was found guilty which, he claimed, would serve as a lesson to all the corrupt officials engaged in making money by throwing ethics to the wind.
