LTTE claymore mine explosion kills two policemen
LTTE terrorists have exploded a claymore mine targeting a police route clearing patrol at Kaluthavalai in Batticaloa around 7.25 this morning (June 22). According to the defence sources, one officer of Police Special Task Force and another police constable have been killed.
The bomb was placed inside a luggage of a push cycle which was parked on the church road, Kaluthavalai, the sources added.

Police Commandos gun down LTTE cadre - Batticaloa
Police Special Task Force (STF) commandos gunned down an LTTE cadre during a confrontation at Kaluthavalai in Batticaloa this evening (June 22). According to the defence sources, the STF personnel have launched a cordoned search operation in the area following the claymore attack that killed 2 police personnel in this morning.
The STF personnel have encountered small arms fire during the search, originated from an abandoned house around 2.45 pm. The STF has retaliated to the attack and subsequently found a body of an LTTE cadre along with 2 hand grenades, and a cyanide capsule. The body of the LTTE cadre has been handed over to General Hospital Kalawanchikudi.

I was seriously afraid of that claymore attack... My brother was in root clearing on that day.. that attack was followed them. his two friends were killed who came on root clearing after them. So Dear friends here Can't I be happy from the seconds news?
