m26k9 and ishanliy both in Japan, and they testing with a Japan server. May be it’s their own ISP or another ISP in Japan. So it’s like LAN. So those results not really true for the whole internet just try with a US or Europe server from the speedtest.net and you can see that.
Anyway in SL no one hosting a server for speedtest.net so we have to go through international backbones to test servers in other countries. So it’s like true internet speed. Just try USA or Maldives or Europe almost same results. Not from 1 test I mean test few more time and get the average. Speeds, they all kinda look same other than the ping time.

machang my ISP is not listed in there and they are not offering a server...from what I can see from there... So it is not "LAN" but true yeah I get higher speeds.
If u want to try the speed with other servers, then you really cannot determine my "true" DL/UL speed "offered" to me by my ISP... because there are lot of bottlenecks on the way... and the speeds will depend on each server and the routes on the way... so my results show how much bandwidth is "offered" to me by my ISP... the last mile performance... it is unfair for someone in SL bcos they cant check their offered traffic bcos there is no server in SL... so anyway I did a test with a US server as u suggested and given below... not trying to prove anything here... when I went to that site, I didnt "choose" the Japan server.. it was automatically recommended to me by the site... the yellow pyramid...
