India paceman Shanthakumaran Sreesanth has been ruled out of the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka due to a knee injury.
Sreesanth, who along with Ishant Sharma, was due to lead the Indian pace attack in the absence of the injured Zaheer Khan, missed the team's training session on Sunday due to a ligament tear in his knee and is now expected to return home.
The team management is yet to make an official announcement regarding Sreesanth's replacement.
