Sri Lanka Health Ministry has imported medicines for Influenza A H1N1 virus as a precautionary measure, the Ministry said.
In addition to the medicine, steps have been taken to import 2,000, N-95 mouth coverings with the assistance of World Health Organisation (WHO).
Issuing a special statement Health Ministry said with the importation of the medicine and other items Sri Lanka government is now totally ready to face the virus.
According to the Ministry, stringent measures are also being taken at the country's international airport to stop those affected by the Swine Flu from entering the country.
The Health Ministry confirmed that there are no any sign of Swine Flu inside the country at the moment.
