Sri Lanka should curtail rights of Central Bank and convert it to a currency board pegged to gold. Sri Lankan Central Bank should move away from US Dollar. There will be no more money printing in Currency Board. Sri Lanka cannot run huge budget deficits. There will be no more inflation when currency is backed by gold, it will become true money. Speculators cannot attack Gold backed currency easily. There is no point in dumping US Dollar reserves in the market.
Sri Lanka should start Trump style economy.It should block vehicle and electrical imports. Start assembling with parts from overseas with 25% of purchase invoice order should be Sri Lankan. We wil get back manufacturing in this country.
