If government is not interested in giving Terminal in Colombo, it should at least give terminal in Trincomale. MSC and Maersk are big giant shipping companies. They can give volume to Sri Lanka Cargo. Maithree is not business friendly. He is blocking investments into Sri Lanka. CSC and Maersk has signed deals with Adani port in Kerala. Sri Lanka needs Forex reserves. Shipping is the best source of Forex income.If government wants to build terminal it will take years. It is better to give terminal to others at the same time build government terminal.
