mn, u can't blame government or any one for this, people go by their own choice. To earn more money.

I am blamming govt for d reason of no any actions regarding this incidents.iF the Govt is strong on there agrements with those countries this much of things never happens.Coz they r thinking "oh sri lanka gavt cant do antythng for me" that is ma explanation.

Actually government can't do anything. Thousands of immigrant workers from SL work there, but this kinda cases are not so much. main thing is people should care themselves than blaming government for everything.
Government almost talked to those countries about this matter, but results can't be expected within small time period. Don't u know this kinda things also happen in SL ?

this is not always true mn, i went to SL embassies in Russia and China, they are really good. Helping and welcoming.

there are more than 2 countries in the world men..
and i know what iam talking...

well,kind of true but listen...i have been also to so many countries and try to understand there is a big different when u are visiting the embassy as a tourist and people who living in those countries and get some helps.

lets get to the point ..
as i know when those sri lankan innocent people being sold out to a muslim country by an agent in sri lanka they get a 2 year or 5 year contract.
but when u are there..they realize all what on papers written are not practical..so what is the action pepole should get?
they go to thier one last and only place to get some help and return to sri lanka
what do they do?they use them,and they are selling to an other. this is the reality..

what IveyStyle don't understand is the 2 options available to give a solution for this question.
1- government should stop/ban sending people to these countries as house maids
2- people themselves should not go there to do these jobs

SL government doesn't take the first step, so people can take the 2nd step. Now what happen in SL is both parties not taking any step to stop this.

one of my friends said, some saudis don't take some maids even to their home, because those maids are very black and ugly looking. (true story, i'm not insulting anyone).

I got this news from a reputed Saudi website long time before. Saudi Arabiya has no need to get maids just from SL, they like to stop it at any time, but SL people don't want. I gave the solution for this in my above post.

Note- SL muslims belongs to SL, and they are permanent SL citizens. We can't send them anywhere and their country is Sri Lanka.
Cruel people are everywhere and they treat badly for anyone regardless of religion or nation.

There is a move on the part of Saudi authorities to stop housemaids coming from certain countries including Sri Lanka. Ali Al-Quraishi, vice president of the local Labor Recruitment Committee said Saudi is serious in imposing a ban on the import of housemaids from Sri Lanka, Nepal, Cambodia and Vietnam.

“The main reason for considering such a ban is that the labor recruiters in those countries are not qualified enough to supply housemaids that suit the local culture and tradition. There is no proper selection process of housemaids to suit this market, nor are they given orientation before they leave their countries,” he added.

Al-Quraishi said local employers have found that maids from these countries make no effort to adapt to local conditions. “They don’t even show any inclination to cope with local traditions and culture,” he said. “We have decided to be extra-careful when dealing with such foreign labor, especially after some reports that housemaids were involved in child murders and incidents of violence,” he added.
