    Hi

If you are wearing a cap when you go out in the sun, would you wear a white/ light coloured cap, or a black / dark coloured cap ?

Well white (or light colours) is supposed to reflect heat while black (or dark colours) is supposed to absorb heat. Can't remember the physics learnt at school :P.

So ideally when going out in the sun, and you don't want your head to over heat, it is best to wear a white (light coloured) cap ? Right or wrong ?

But someone is telling me: Most people in the tropics have black hair on the head. Nature has made the hair black becos it is the more suitable colour to protect the head from the heat. Black while absorbing more heat will also radiate more heat. So black hair will cool the head better. If nature wanted to reflect heat, it would have made the hair white from birth :D. So if you want a cap, wear a black cap

    Well .... ? :baffled:
    What would you advice?

When going out in the sun, white (light coloured) or black (dark coloured) cap ?
    :)

I never have thought abt it in that way.But we cant say our head should not deserve heat.I havent heard anyone recommend white caps though.
