Militants armed with grenades, guns and suicide vests Friday stormed two mosques in Lahore belonging to a minority sect, killing at least 76 people in coordinated attacks that illustrate the vulnerability of groups considered outside the mainstream of Pakistani society.

The Ahmadi sect is one of the country's most beleaguered minority groups. Numbering about 4 million, they consider themselves Muslims but believe their late-19th century founder, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, was a prophet of God. That is heresy for most Muslims, who believe Muhammad was the last prophet. Ahmadis suffer severe discrimination in Pakistan and are legally barred from calling themselves Muslims.

The attacks occurred during Friday prayers as Ahmadis filled two of the sect's mosques in the neighborhoods of Model Town and Garhi Shahu.

In both cases, militants were able to easily get inside the mosques, where they opened fire with guns and threw grenades at terrified worshipers. At the Garhi Shahu mosque, two of the attackers detonated suicide vests in the main hall. At least 91 people were injured.

This will not be a Headline in most of News.but unfortunately Most of the medias gather news about muslim killing non muslims and muslims killing muslims and post as though islam is violent religion and celebrate themselves. it is very unfortunate for us.

Quran 2:190 > "Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors. "

Quran 2:191 > "And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have Turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you, slay them. Such is the reward of those who suppress faith."

Quran 2:192 > " But if they cease, Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. "

Diamonddrago replied for the same.it is repeatedly said to your people, in Quran it is never said to kill any innocent apart from the versus which was revealed during the war.but Quran said if u killed some one it is as though u have killed whole humanity.
All of them are misconceptions and allegation to show islam is wrong. even we say this versus are purposely used by critics to show islam is a violent religion.

This all versus explain you well it is not just revealed by Allah, but during the peace treaty between muslims & Non muslims during that time non muslims ceased the treaty and allah asked muslims to fight with them. it is obvious if some one come to fight you u have to hit them back. more over islam never stopped saying only this.it is further saying

read it...its taking about a peace treaty with the non-believers in mecca....the Muslims made that treaty with the non-believers there to let them make the pilgrimage (our Haj)...but God says...if the non-believers there betray you and lay a trap...fight back....not to kill them outright....and as far as i know...that treaty held...and the pilgrimage was made without incident....
