01. Price
depends on running/body condition, original condition of parts & reg year/number. I can't give a pin point
but roughly & considering all original parts with good condition.
156 number & below ~ 100-120K
G, H ~ 130K
M ~ 150K
V,U, X ~ 200K
BA, BB ~ 250K & so on
if you buy it today, reconditioned, not ridden in Sri lanka ~ 480K-520K
02. Issues
nothing, but you may notice the bike may have a tendency of heating while in traffic & short distances,
but this is normal. no need to worry.
03. Before you buy
1. Make sure, the following parts are original.
Original means 'Made in Japan' will be engraved.
Carb, Engine, Meter, rims, silencer, shocks, fork tubs, seat, mudguards, headlight, rectifier, CDI unit - these parts are very expensive, so make sure they are genuine.
2. Running is good, both slow & high speeds, carb is working properly without any missing or knocking. without any white/blue smoke
3. Check inside the tank for heavy rusts
4. If possible, take it to a battery shop and check coil & rectifier are working properly.
04. Performance
If all are good & genuine, it will do 100-105 kmph & 38-45 kmpl. Japanese GN won't do 50, it's a myth.
I had one V, rode it about 2 years & 45000km. very fucking comfortable compared to Indian bikes for long ranges.
sold it and brought a Volty. Still miss it. very reliable & solid bike.
05. Versions
GN125/GN125E - Japan
GN125H/GN125-2F - China
Chinese models are also good except few issues such as low material quality, low engine life, some electrical issues, quick rust compared to Japan.
