Terrible experience at mydeal.lk
Today I received an offer for Sampath Bank card holders from mydeal.lk. Usually I shops at MC but after receiving the sms I visited their site and got interrested about a Swissgear backpack priced Rs.7500 for Rs.4050. So I decided to buy and call them asking about whether it is possible to check the item before buying it because I knew there knock-offs at the market. They said it is OK to come and see.
So I went there and asked about that item and after wasting 30 minutes an old man who was carrying items inside the shop said the bag I wanted only have black color and I want it to see it or not? I said let me see it and he began to dig again in the pile of boxes. Some boxes were middle of the shop. Rice cookers, blenders, toasters and a lot of items including digital items. After a while he climbed box by box and grab a blender and gave that to a customer. The customer asked if he can check the item is working but the girl at the releasing counter said it was fine and no need to check it. Customer did't have a choice as he was already paid for it and signed some kind of a document with his copy of Identity card. He couldn't do anything other than that.
There were three releasing counters and three receptionists all were talking nonsense. After waiting another 20 minutes the old man vanished. I asked again from the reception and no any considerable response and also I lost confidence about them and what they are selling. It seems like Pettah has better shops than this. So I left there.
In my total 50min experience I saw myself how they handle customers and goods. It's very disappointing and a waste of time. I don't know how they are handling deliveries with these kind of service. If you are going to buy LED TVs, multimedia projectors, mobile phones or any valuable item except hammers or nails see it yourself before paying online or getting delivered.
Is there anyone with this kind of experience?
