Yeh, we had a Sony Trinitron TV which bought in 1985.
It worked well till 2010 then tube was repaired for the first time.
After that we continued to used that until 2018 and discarded due to a color IC problem.

Very reliable when compared to today TV sets. Made like a tank.

We also had this one Black & White Tv for almost 30 years. i can remember, if it had a good antenna it can catch some satellite channels also. i still can remember we used to watch CNN on this. not very clear but watchable.

There was a TV that was owned to our relative. A 'Daytron' B&W one, from '80s.
On its rear there is a sticker 'MADE IN SRI LANKA'.
