    And I don't mean doing heavy curls.

    Go heavy on the big compound exercises- Deads, squat, bench, shoulder press, barbell rows, weighted bar dips etc.

    For isolation exercise and stuff that targets small muscle groups, no need to go too heavy- best keep weight moderate and technique perfect.
