There are men who proclaim His glory morning and evening, not distracted by trade or commerce from the remembrance of Allah and the establishment of salat (regular Prayer) and the payment of zakat (regular Charity); fearing a day when all hearts and eyes will be in turmoil – so that Allah can reward them for the best of what they did and give them more from His unbounded favour. Allah provides for anyone He wills without reckoning.

    The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 24,Verse 37-38

Saharaz - please answer my question. Is criticising Islam a cause that justifies killing? A simple yes/no would suffice.

Allah says about his favourite slaves:

"And the (faithful) slaves of the Most Gracious (Allâh) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness."
    Quran 25:63

if you check the above verse you will find the answer i.e
if a foolish critisize a Islam, he should reply back with mild words of greatness like i'm doing now.

no arguements here please, becoz this thread is not for arguements. there are threads for arguements i think you know them ......

This verse contradicts with the earlier one you posted. That asked believers to fight in the name of God. Can you tell me why they contradict? Am I right in calling the Quran a garbled mess? It is suppsoed to be the book for all mankind and easily understood by all. But heck, it is rife with contradictions, verses that cannot be taken out of context, and other such chit.

More muslims seem to heed the first verse. That is why there is an abundance of death threats and killings in the name of Islam today.

Can you tell me why muslims retort with death threats and even murder, when someone criticises Islam? Heard of Theo Van Gogh?

Mohammed failed to practice what he preached, a further contradiction to the above verse, since you'll believe in the sunna.

Why then did Mohammed have Asma bint Marwan killed?

Her only offense was criticising Mohammed. A woman, and mother no less of an infant, she was killed on the orders of Mohammed dead in the night while nursing her child. No matter how offensive her words may have been, don't you think that what Mohammed did was cruelty at it's very worst? Do you agree with Mohammed killing the mother of a young child? Where was his heart? :frown: :frown: :frown:

Mohammed PBUH killed Asma bint Marwan ????

it is a fabricated story of ...... becoz
on the chain of reporters you will find Muhammad Ibn Al-Hajjaj. this Muhammad Ibn Al-Hajjaj is a flawed reporter so we cannot accept his report

Ibn 'Adiyy mentions this incident in his book "Al-Kamel" on the authority of Ja'far Ibn Ahmad Ibn Muhammad Ibn As-Sabah on authority of Muhammad Ibn Ibrahim Ash-Shami on authority of Muhammad Ibn Al-Hajjaj Al-Lakhmi on authority of Mujalid on authority of Ash-Shu'abi on authority of Ibn 'Abbas, and added that
"...this isnad (chain of reporters) is not narrated on authority of Mujalid but by Muhammad Ibn Al-Hajjaj and they all (other reporters in the chain) accuse Muhammad Ibn Al-Hajjaj of forging it."[3][dubiousdiscuss] It is also reported by Ibn al-Gawzi in Al-'Ilal and is listed among other flawed reports

Nice try Saharaz. Some other Muslims (I would say many other muslims) believe that Asma was indeed killed on the orders of Mohammed. Here's a response from the muslims-responses website. This is no anti-Islamic site.

So as you can see the sources make it very clear that these 2 not only mocked the prophet and insulted him, they also INSTGATED their people to attack and harm the Muslims! Hence these people were not mere poets writing mocking poems, they were inciting violence and hatred against the Muslims! They were inciting their people to rise up to fight and kill the Muslim population, and this made them direct enemy combatants because they were inciting violence against the Muslims. Therefore as we can see, there is nothing wrong in what was done against them, they brought it on themselves, you don't have to hold a sword to be an enemy or an enemy combatant, inciting violence and instigating violence is just as bad and is the exact same thing. Even in today's world men who preach ?hate' and incite violence will be arrested and imprisoned.
So therefore there was nothing wrong in what was done, and the sources show that these 2 were not killed for simple mockery and insulting comments. However what is amusing is that Christians have no problems with the pagans and the Jews who incited murder against Muslims, they think it is okay, and they also have no problems with the fact that Jews and pagans killed many Muslims, the Christian has no problem with this and you will never hear a single of them saying it was wrong. So therefore this reveals something further, it reveals that our opponents have no problems when Muslims get killed or threatened with murder, and that says it all doesn't it?
    And Allah Knows Best!

That answer was taken from: http://muslim-responses.com/Abu_Afak_and_Asma/Abu_Afak_and_Asma_

I'll tell you what I think, I believe those muslims, and I believe that Mohammed had her killed. Your only argument was that the reporter was dubious. Have you got any proof to accuse the reporter for making up stories?

If you are accusing him of lying only because the story is so appalling and makes Islam look bad, think again. Mohammed committed other atrocities that have recorded proof. He raided and had entire tribes killed, so what is killing Asma in the light of all his other crimes? I wouldn't put anything past Mohammed, because he has done just about evey wrong thing under the sun. Killing, raping, looting, cursing, and the list goes on...

Your Lord has commanded that you worship none but Him, and be kind to parents. If either or both of them reach old age with you, do not rebuke them, but speak to them in terms of honor and kindness. Treat them with humility, and say, 'My Lord! Have mercy on them, for they did care for me when I was little'. [17:23-4].
